Default Me and Speck Daddy topwater rain day

So...Got on some bass, then went and chased reds.
Wasn't lookin' too good, got rained on, then it slacked, so i ran to a hot spot, and they were blowing up on top like crazy, topwater time!
Pulled 2 10 pounders, rest were all 20 inchers. Lost atleast 10.

Would have sat there all afternoon waxing them, but got potlicked like no other. We decided to wade, and these people came within' 20 feet of us! Throwin' over my line, and they're sitting right on top of the fish. Killed the bite completely.

People these days..

had 7 reds and 2 bass.
Pics in a minute

I ran to the freshwater side of the levee, and crossed, seen a butt load of teal on the saltwater side sitting in the shallows, threw topwater over there for 20 minutes, nothing, so I head home

Use to shoot some good ducks on the saltwater side of the levee. Also on the levee there were lots of china ball trees. They were always loaded with Robins during winter. We never worried about the gumbo fixins. That was about.....37 yrs ago

Gr8 catch too fool and Speck D!
