Default Big Lake Smashfest 9/24

Well not really, but not a bad morning. Ended the morning with 8 trout, 6 good size and 2 sandies. threw a few dinks back so they could grow a little more. Nice breeze but lake was fairly calm. water around turns had a little stain to it but water down south was beautiful. Saw one group of birds working as i was leaving. Bait EVERYWHERE!!!! Things should go crazy next week after this front. on a crappy note, noticed my motors water spout didnt have as much pressure as usual and the water i flushed it with came out warmer than normal so she made a trip to the shop. hopefully it wont be an extended stay and I can get it back on the water sooner rather than later.

Birds have been in Lake Charles, for the past month and a half. Sometimes in the morning and sometimes in the evening.
Evenings are best. But on weekends, there are stupid boaters who will water ski a circle around boaters working birds.
Hit the seawall at night. Reds are popping bait all night long.
