i use torrents and have been for a few years... go to http://www.utorrent.com/ and download the software then I use either http://btjunkie.org/ or http://thepiratebay.org/ to search for media

there are reviews and it lists the files on those sites so you know you arent getting junk or viruses

I use ares...lot less viruses, completely free. pier to pier networking, people "sharing" with each other. No downloads from actual websites, just users. http://aresgalaxy.sourceforge.net/
