Your superior days of wading are the worst possible conditions on the water. Over the last 15 years or so I have captured some of my biggest trout with 25 to 35 mph winds and driving rains. Too Cold you say? I say just right to wade fish off the flats and banks of Big Lake. Snatched my second biggest last year with air temperature around 40 degrees, 15-20mph winds and water temperature was low 40's. Caught her on a regular chartreuse sand eel and weight in at 9lbs.1oz on my boga grip. I released the gator trout that measured just over 31 inches long.
