Default It took me a year, but I did it!

Well guys, It took me a year, but I finally did it. July 4th went fishin'. I didn't fish the tourny, (because I suck). I decided to stay well north of Big Lake (didn't want to make the same mistake I made for the shootout, To many boats for a novice like me). So I stayed around Prien and the north part of the channel. Been catching Reds and Flounder but never any Specks. Well Saturday was my day. I kept 10 Specks and 3 Reds. All caught on LSU Sand Eel JRs. Now correct me if I'm wrong, I think this is how all this works... Buy a new Blazer Bay, rods, reels, tackle and spend a year trying to figure out how and where to fish Big Lake. Sounds like time and money well spent. Thanks to all of you who share info here, it really helps learn the do's and don'ts for a rookie and his 8 year old son like me.
