They finally showed up. Its amazing how rainfall will improve field hunting!! The ducks showed up today. Ended with 18 ducks and 6 geese by 8am. Mallards, pintail and teal. Sat in the blind for 45 mins and just watched bunch after bunch come in the decoys. This was the type morning you live for.

Congrats on the hunt. We had a great hunt today in Kaplan.....ended up with 24.....9 mallards, 9 greys, 3 mottles and 3 teal. Great rice field weather day.....I am very happy with our new lease I picked up this year.....

Also, WED afternoon was a great day before the big rain came in. 2 of us got 12.

I was suprised at the amount of big ducks we had. They were dropping out of the clouds. We actually passed up shooting some teal later in hunt due to all the bigger ducks.

This is the reason I like hunting the fields. Mallards, Pintail, Teal and Specks......what else could you ask for!?! This is the reason I do not miss hunting the marshes. Thank you God for the opportunity to live where I can do this with my daughter!!!
