short story on this....i put up a gov speced fence job and had to ground it every 500' well we put it down and the inspector called the next day and said why is your copper wire here but not your ground rod......the dumba$$es took the ground rods that are just copper coated and left that thick copper wire....i bet they were pissed when they found out they wasn't worth anything. they worked them things was 8' in the ground
