Took my backseat out of my f-150 and had a custom speaker box built with 4 Kicker 12s. Then they put a seat on top of the box. Now my ears can't handle that!

'81 GMC Sierra. 305 V8 with automatic transmission that was a piece of ****.
I had a lot of trucks, that vintage was crap... Engine, transmission and body
was the low years for GM when they sold these models.

Mine was a 78 F150 300 6 Banger w/ 3 speed on the column 2 wheel drive with tires as Big as Salty's on the rear. I had to rebuild my tranny and rear end at least 3 times each from spinning the tires going into 2nd and sometimes 3rd gear. I got pretty good at re building, plus I don't know how many motor mounts I had to replace. I finally, puy a chain on the motor to reduce destroying the motor mounts.

I also found some sweet red buckets seats out of a new salvaged camaro that I installed. Built own removable speaker boxes with 100 watt equalizer, had 8 track, cassete and cb.

My truck is pictured with a 6" suspension lift and 38" tires. When I sold it, it had a 9" suspension lift, 3" body lift, 46" Goodyear Terra tires, Detroit Lockers and 4:11 gears. I still had to cut the fenders to get the tires under it. It wasn't "street legal".....except for Bogalusa.

I had a '76 Ford F-100 with an inline 300 6 and shift on the column.
It was my fishing/hunting truck. Good truck. Just drank a lot of gas
for a 6 banger.

In 1994 I bought my first truck before I had my license it was a 79' Ford F-100 with a 302 V-8 and auto tranny. I had to fill the oil and check the gas on that thing, i don't remember it burning a ton of gas but I was big balling in H.S. I made $7.50 an hour and worked about 32 to 50 hours a week. I had 2 8" Bazooka bass tubes, 2 Blaupunkt 6x9's, 2 6 1/2" Blaupaunkt in the Doors, 3 44 watt autotek amps pushing it all and an Alpine Deck. I paid 900 cash for the truck, used it 2 years and sold it for $1200. It also had glass packs on it that would rattle what the sound system wouldn't. I

Mine was a '83 Ford F150 stepside. White with black vinyl interior with NO A/C! Some hot summers! Good memories from that truck though!

Pic is not my truck, but closest I could find online......
