The only thing that kept Mercs in buisness was the OBAMA-MAX and the fact they were dirt cheap. Hell you can buy an OBAMA-Max 225 for the same price as a Yamaha 150 4 stroke. That should tell you something. However, now that Yamaha has the SHO.....you can say bye bye to the obama max.....unless they give them away...

they need to do something. the vrods have a bad rep and the optipops are a dying technology. yamaha has the market basically to themselves as etech never really lived up to all its hype. from now on its going to be who can build the most reliable,lightest,and fastest 4strokes and yamaha is out in front.
