Default Vacation/getaway
Guys, im in need of some opinions on a few places within REASONABLE driving distance from Leesville area that has cabins to rent along with boats. Going to be around the first weekend in April.

Checked into Hodges Gardens........ not bad, but would like to see if there are any other places. This will be a get-a-way type trip with fishing involved.

Yes if you have been in the military. Toledo bend has a military rec area.

whunter, i am not in the military..... so i cant use the rec area but to launch my boat. I am not wanting to bring my boat, just poles and tackle.

Ryan, they only offer pontoons ??

Poverty Point has nice nice cabins for like 90 bucks and will sleep 8 people, and you can fish from the bank and catch catfish all day long at that time of the year. No boat rentals though

think im settling on Hodges Gardens..... we close to home as it is.... everything else is a hassle to reserve....... have to call 800 numbers, have to set up appt to reserve, blah blah blah....

way to ruin a suprise.... the motel 6 got S.W.A.T raided a while back, their still having trouble with the smell from the 32 people that died from the meth lab that blew also...(just kidding of course)

Anacoco lake or Bun****s. Dats a reasonable drive. And you can "borrow" a boat off anyone dat not at the camp dat weekend!
