![]() I'm hearing some decent fish come out of there but I'm also hearing that it's not open to the public.... Anyone know anything about this?

I know there is a summer fishing lottery for the white lake conservation area north of the lake, but as for the actual lake itself im pretty sure its public

That is correct, the lake is public. There is a public launch on schooner bayou, aka the old intracoastal canal. Good for reds certain times of the year and alot of BIG catfish.

Fish on the bottom around the rigs you see when you get to the mouth of white lake. The dock is called Hebert's landing. Put down and go back under the bridge all the way down you will see the lake

I always wondered where people were going from that landing. You think most people there are going to White Lake or out to the gulf

I doubt anyone would launch there to get to the gulf...cant get there from the lake your would have to go to the intracoastal and head south to freshwater city.

Or cross white and grand lakes and hit the mermentau. That would be quite a haul.

I've heard of people catching catfish and reds under the bridge at certain times of the year.

Actually, you could go to the Schooner Bayou locks and pass through them and end up at Freshwater Bayou. Warren |
