New handgun law in Texas

I like this. I also believe students that do carry on campus need to go through a more intensive background check..nothing to invade/attack rights, just things like mental health evaluation and such. All the same training and classes that are required for a concealed license should be taught on these college campuses by off duty police officers and other personnel such as the national guard. Nothing better than having armed and informed students...just what we need to take this country back.

Uhhhh, only CC licensed folks can carry on campus. Not just any old body can go around toting a gun. So the training is already in place.

It looked to me like you said they should all go through the same training classes that the CC license holders go through. If that's the case, they already went through it. If you mean everyone on campus should be taught this then I disagree. Most will never carry, thus, wasting tax payer dollars on such a college course is not a good idea especially in this economy where they are looking to make more cuts.
