Me and my brother took the families to Sam Rayburn for some family fun and a little fishing. The Warming weather had the Water temps ranging from 50 up to 63 in the back of coves. We started out deep and caught 8 in about 20 ft of water, we almost got hit by several boats as the fog had visibility around 50 ft. When the fog finally lifted we headed up shallow and caught a few buck bass. The next day was about the same minus the fog. We caught most fish on jigs and super hogs in 20 ft of water near river channel. picked up a few on red traps and shallow cranks and a few more on wacky worm. even caught 3 on a swimbait. nothing very big most were bout a pound and a half. Had a blast, my daughter even caught 2 on the river

Sounds like a good trip to me, won't be long & that wacky (senko) will be on fire! Don't what is about Rayborn & Toledo but at certain times that Red trap is bad to the bone!

Yea that trap bite is a fun one. Yea nick she growin fast ! ill hit you up next time we go up there my Grandad has a camp.

really good report man. i had a buddy go there last weekend too, they had about 18lbs for their best 5. swing by the shop in sulphur if ya get time man, we can share some details!

Yea that's alot better than we did. My excuse being we could only fish till about 1230 each day cause of the women. Thats gonna be my last fishing till April I'm headed to Austin, tx for work for the whole month of march ( my favorite month to fish ). But I plan on comin check yall out on my next trip.
