My buddy just bought a camp on the Tchefuncte River in Madisonville. It's an old two-story house sitting on 3/8 of an acre lot. He paid $825k. He's done nothing but work on the camp since the purchase. The lot is pretty but it ain't that pretty. The house itself is probably worth no more than $150k.
