Clear Creek WMA Turkey

Got news today that my son was drawn for the Youth Lottery Turkey hunt at Clear Creek WMA for March 12th. There were only 20 "yutes" selected so it shouldn't be too crowded. If anyone has any good ideas of where to start our gobbler search I would much appreciate it. Was on a couple of good gobblers last year but they just would not commit he final few yards.

Find a dead end road on the map and park about half way down it. Clear Creek has birds all over so unless you go scout and find a bird I would use that approach. Parking half way will usually keep others from entering the area you are hunting. Good Luck

I am waiting to hear back on whether or not i was picked for Sherbune lottery.

The drawing was done last week. I don't know when or if.....the letters are "in the mail".

I have not seen a report of anyone getting their letter yet.
