I'm running a jack plate with 7.5 inches of setback. Cavitation place is between 1-1.5 inches above the boat bottom. I'm taking it to a friend's house tomorrow. He's got a neighbor that's pretty familiar with suzuki's. I'm going to let him run it and check the setup and see what he thinks about it.

That is one problem for sure....that motor should turn 5500 rpm's at WOT. On another note that motor should not have a problem turning 5500 rpm's with a 14 pitch.
