Yesterday It was supposed to fall till 730 then then by 8 begin rising...... Well it fell hard till 930... Then went dead!!!
Here is the weird thing.... Actualy 2.
1. At 630 when we got to trestle the tide was falling ans water was dirty, really dirty. 1 ft of clarity @ best. Tide was falling but wind was blowing from east @5-6 mph. (Dirty water & falling tide.) we left bridge @ 930 to go redfish. Did that til 10 or so- caught 12 nice reds. when we returned to bridge around 10:15 water was dead still, no wind, no tide ; just stagnit. But water was green and clarity was about 4 ft.
No new water came in, I know that bc of the water level marker on bridge. How does water change so fast with no new water??
2. We saw and chased down a real rogue wave.
I am totally honest, if I'm lying may I never catch a fish again.
We were in east side if trestle, saw a white ripple out in lake comin from the west .... It was about 1 mile or so from us. Kinda high but didn't pay attention to it. Few seconds later we hear a crash thru the pylons, it was the wave. But it didn't stop, it formed bk up and kept moving toward hwy 11 bridge. It was about 3 ft tall, 100 yrds wide and moving at 15 mph. We know this bc we followed it for a while until it hit the east shore of lake p.
It was moving against tide, against wind, & had no apparent genesis.
Truely a freaky occurrence.
