HOUMA — Calling all experienced alligator hunters. A reality series will hold a casting call in Houma April 8-10 searching for professional alligator hunters who are interested in heading overseas to catch "monster crocodiles." The time location will be announced later.

Herd Records Inc. Productions, directors and executive producers of the series, will be doing the casting. To sign up, visit cajuncrochunters@wordpress.com. Entries can be e-mailed to jason@herdrecords.com or tonym@herdrecords.com, or call (251) 432-2067 to be placed on the audition calendar. You should provide a short description of yourself and your hunting experience, along with a phone number, mailing address and e-mail address.

The cast will be chosen based on skill, experience, personality or adventurous spirit. Audition interviews will be filmed for possible use in the first two episodes of the 10-part series.

Winners will be chosen after six weeks of challenges. The overseas challenge will have a cash prize. You must be available to film overseas between May 15 and June 25.

i think the elephants they were killed to control herd sizes...something like if they herds get to big, its poses a chance of them starving....then again, IVORY is always been sought after. not sure about the lions

They would get bored with me.
I pull them up slow, they don't thrash around.
Then I shoot when the eyes are about 4" from coming out the water.
No splashing like on TV. Boring but safe.
And I can get a 400 lb. alligator in the boat by myself. They need 2 or more on TV.
When they catch a 200 lb. gator, they say it weighs 600 lbs. They are fulla sheite.

I dunno bout you pox but I'd gladly kill that lion if it was charging me or one of my buddies....I wouldn't go out looking for one as game but in that situation it would be a goner...they may have been hunting kudo or brush buck and just came across a lions crazy azz
