shaw is right on target about the voltaeus rod being absolute junk. heavy and no sensitivity and a limited 1 yr warranty. i'd recommend the next one up, shimano's convergence series. they are $50 and $60 for a 6'6" or 7' and they have a great lifetime over-the counter warranty. they also happen to have a rebate going on with the convergence, clarus and compre rods. get $10 back when u buy a clarus or convergence and $20 back when u purchase a compre.

the reel is a solid choice. the sedona's are well balanced and worth every cent of their paltry $59 price and are arguably better than some more expensive reels.
