Default Robbed Again!!!

Yep, them dirty thieves stole from me again at my plant nursery Planning on getting some kind of security system, cameras, horns, sirens, land mines,50 cal. something. Just looking for some advice on pros and cons of going with an actual system like Adt or getting something to do it yourself. Wanting to get something for the house too. Need something with motion at my shop that can stand the elements of being outside. I would appreciate any advice that any of you migh have.

W / the cops no where around your only hope other than claymores is video security .
set cameras where any vehicle in the area gets a license plate shot and make sure and have high res in the plant area so that any facial shots you get can be IDed.
or hire a guard to sit there all night to guard your ****.

fence and lighting is the first step in security, that would defer people from going threw the trouble of trying to steal, cameras are a good second, most people really scope out and look around before they steal. At my work there was a couple guys looking to steal from business down the street they stopped at were I work and looked around didn't want to cross over the razor wire on top of the fence or cut the lock so they went across the street jumped there fence and stole the tools in there work trucks.

For what it's worth, I have had ADT security on my home for years. Luckily never had any intruders but I feel like my family is safe as I'm away from home about 100 nights a year. Maybe that sign in the landscaping sends them on down the road. The sky is the limit when it comes to security. I have camera's that watch my driveway, front and back door and my shop. All I have to do is press a button and pull it up on my tv and I can see them all at one time. Like I said it doesn't come cheap but I never had to worry about my kids sneaking out or sneaking someone in....lol...

Never had many issues with the security system and when I did they were at my home instantly fixing the problem. I would never have another home with out one...I would say give them a call and see what they have to offer you.....A quote is free....

You may look into a local group as well. I have a group here that did my full install on multiple doors and long range motion detectors for a 5000 sq ft shop at a rate that is much lower than some of the big boys. Also, my monthly coverage rate is less than that of ADT by about $6/mo. Don't sound like much but, when you own your own business, every dime counts!

I would like the dog thing too,but it would cost me a fortune to fence in my entire area. roughly about 2 acres. And if my dog would bite em, they would prolly sue me. Bad thing is,they would prolly win too. thinking maybe about some kind of motion sensors, that would set off a siren or something and then go off after a few minutes.
