Hell yeah man. Nice job. This lake is just awesome. You should check it out on the good days. Thurs about a hour before dark the fish went nuts. They were just crushing bait.

The reds are easy to find in bl...like you said pick a wind protected bank and you will run into them eventually.

Tell that to the many teams that didn't weigh in a fish. There was nothing "easy" about it today. Blasting off in drizzling rain sucks bad. Rain drops at 55mph with 20mph wind tends to sting a little.

I said it was easy to find them....not so easy to find tournament sized reds. I know what you mean about running in the rain. Got stuck in a rain shower last fall in 50 degree temps and it was miserable. Bought me a a fish hedz mask and it is the bomb. Basically a paintball mask with no holes. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Save_...-SPHACEMK.html

Not knocking you, but do you even realize how many people think its "easy" to catchs reds in BL, Bass in Toledo, Bass on Rayburn, Bass on Calcasieu, but come tournament time they dont weigh fish, if it was easy, you'd see everybody fishing tournaments, and weighing in fish.

Once again, not knocking ya, but its not "easy"

I agree...come tournament time it always seems like pulling teeth no matter how many fish you caught pre fishing. Every once in a while the stars line up perfectly and you have a banner day. I fished bass tournaments for 9 years with my dad,can be VERY annoying. On another note, you have to admit redfish are the easier to catch compared to bass. High pressure affects bass way more than reds.

Yes, but come tournament time, they aren't... Atleast with a bass it can be 11 inch+ on calcasieu dogfights....reds gotta be 16-27, and your shooting for 27

I really don't know where we finished because they only called out top 5 or 6.......... We caught 20 or so Reds but could not get the ones we had yesterday...I hit a school and had one 25inch 7.34 and 6.13 but weather and tide was not the same...We never could find that school in the area again today.... Caught several nice trout though....Had one almost 5lbs...

We had a few ounzes over 8lbs........

Tough day on the water to say the least. I felt we had a good showing for two guys from the east. 8.52 lbs for us. It was nice meeting some of you I have never met before... Saltyshaw and Mallardfish to name two.

Blake Champion and Mike Lambert won. Really great guys that fish the IFA, LSS, and HT Cup. They beat out Brady (Boatdriver) and I by 0.36lbs. It was a fun day but was not fun running through ship channel.
