Default Motor Cowlings

Is there someone in lake charles that repaints motor cowlings? I thought i seen a sticker on somebodies backglass that said something about redoing cowlings. Thanks

I don't know what size you have but I have a 40 MERC that I've repainted twice. It is very easy.

it's a 40 merc. Just kinda scratched up. I want to have it lookin right. What all did you have to do to repaint it?

Wet sand it then you can either buy mercury black in a spray can at west marine or Jerry's. That is what I did the first time. Mercury black is the same as chevy black. This last time bought automotive 2 part paint and sprayed it. Then came back with a clear. I'm still in the process. When I'm done I'll post pics. My clear had a couple small runs so I wet sanded it again. It's very simple being it's one color.
