I had 2 Cores get holes in the frames in less than 6 months. I sent them back to Shimano and they said there warranty does not cover corrosion. They did however do a one time swap for new reels that I sold. Curado is the only baitcaster I will use in saltwater. And yes I clean my reels. Every 3rd trip or so I break them down to there smallest parts, clean, oil and reassemble. I pretty sure it was all the wade fishing that got the Cores.
