Default I need a new camera

any suggestions on a digital cam under $200, my last was a kodiak and it wasn't that great, I don't have a cam on my phone and I'd like to take pics of my catch.

Not my area.. I use strictly DSLR's..

But The IS is what you will want. (Image Stabilizing), basically, you gotta be shaking and doing flips for it to turn out messed up.

A dslr would be nice, but I can't justify spending that much. thanks I don't know much about cameras but the blurry images is what i'm trying to avoid.

You really have to be serious to get into the DLSR.. However the nice thing is, they are making hand helds that are almost as capable as a DSLR with a smaller lens.. I do it for the longer glass, and I get to control more, instead of the basic(Sport, portrait, night, auto) etc.

They have some nice Hand helds for cheap now. My bro has one that you can sink up to 25 ft of water and take pics.. Want to say its some xps camera..

that is a camera that I would feel obligated to buy all the accessories with and could end up being pretty expensive.
