Went this morning for a little while, the Calcasieu just south of the barrier looked like a ladyfish tournament was going on or something, guys chasing birds all over the channel...there must be 20 million of those flying silver suckers stacked up in there. Ran down to Prien south of 210, fished the banks on the ship channel. Missed a few fish with eels, switched to a cocahoe bouncing it real slow off the bottom. Caught a couple of small trout, lost one nice one right at the boat, and few reds just enough for dinner.

If you want to get revenge on those trashy lady fish......put one on a hook and throw it back out there and let a trout or red chase it.

Sometimes using a 3/8 oz jig head will allow your bait to be fished deeper and increase your chances of catching a trout or red. Or working the bait real fast has worked for me.
