My Dad swears buy them. I've eaten them and liked it, just not sure what was done the them to make them good. Thats why i'm askin.

I'm sure if you did them just like gar patties/balls, they would taste ok.

quick recipe--filet,bake fish, at 250 for 5 min., chop up fish finely,chop up onions,celery,garlic and cilantro, mix with any hush puppy mix(70% fish) roll in zatarain's fishfry, deep fry untill they float. use your imagination, won't be any left, gaurontee! oh yeah, make the balls about the size of ping-pong balls, you can even dip in a egg/milk mix before you roll in batter. just a starter recipe. le bon ton rolle'!
