VERY tough to find a job right now in the oilfield with no experience in the field. I have been filling out apps left and right for any position with zero luck going on a month now. From what I have seen, you need a year experience even for a helper position.I filled out 3 apps with danos.... Not being negative, just real world experience personally. Pisses me off cause my entire previous work history is all mechanical, that should be enough for a helper position.

for another company, i would put i had at least a year experience as helper....helpers come and go, but a good helper will get put to good use..depending on how you play your cards, i've gotten 18/hr for being a helper. but that's 1 helper(me) and 8 painter/blasters to tend to.

then again, i've also been a painter/blaster for 16/hr. gotta take what you can.

TWIC ---get it or dont expect to work below hwy 90

GET IN WHERE YOU FIT IN

Danos has a real good safety record also, they also take care of their employees.. plus if you live far, they have pretty nice bunk houses. and i believe they are real good on per diem, even for training classes and stuff
