The reason cops write tickets is mostly so they (the violator of state/parish/city laws) don't do it again although most do. Yes, some poor cities with a poor police department use tickets to fund their police force like Livonia and Sorrento, but it also helps make an attempt to keep the roads safer. Now as for the Chargers, police departments generally keep cars for around 4-6 years and then SELL them to Taxi companies or other departments and even civilians. The Crown Vics are about to stop being produced or have been ceased in production already. I may not be all right in this response, but come roll across me when I get on either with Gonzales Police or Sorrento Police, and I'll further explain it. I'd rather write a ticket to a speeder rather than an accident report with a fatality.

Neither one. I'm about to start at Wal Mart for loss prevention (kicking out shop lifters kinda like indercover work). My cousin is married to the Ex C.O.P. of Gonzales PD, and my 2 cousins are cops and a whole lot of people I grew up around/with are cops. Gotta wait 2 more years to be hired on as a P/T or F/T cop. But I'm trying to familiarize myself with procedures and codes. No disrespect taken.

Cabelas would seem a little better. But you'd be surprised all the shoplifter reports my cousin has filed in the past 4 months. I think we counted about 40 reports.

I hope to make at least detective after about 10 years of being on the force if it works out the way I want it to. But if it don't oh well.

I did join, but about 20 days before I was supposed to leave, MSGT MacArthur called me in and said that he Med Discharged me from Delayed Entry. I had/have small tears in a ligament in my left ankle and strained ones in the same from running and rolling my ankle over alot. The grand plan was skip college, become a Reserve Marine, get on as a part time cop and work 3 jobs, or full time cop and work 2 jobs. Talk about a friggin backfire...
