Has anyone fished in or around the Butte Larose are since the water has been falling? A buddy and I are going to fish the Butte this afternoon and just wanted to see if anyone knew what was going on down there?

went to henderson saturday caught about 50 bass, dozen nice sacs, and 20 barfish. Fished nearly all day.. bite wasnt what i thought it would be. I actually had to "fish"

and to answer your question i heard fish were biting there and there are a crapton of boats in there.

if you go i better get a report! I'm going to be going to either, henderson, butte la rose, cow island, or big/little alabama (if its even possible to get back there yet?)

cancel out little/big alabama.. just called ladwlf and the road is closed still, which sucks. I really want to go check that area out

yea i saw a couple of guys in there last week throwing those fast rattling lures you speak of.

if your talking about the launch on the river, I'd have to say it is. I don't see why it would be closed the water isn't that high anymore.

btw i just sent you a pm, but somehow missed the fact that you were asking about butte la rose. I've only been in there a few times as a kid and don't know where or what they caught on in there.
