I know they have different sizes and any prop shop should be able to get them. The holes allow exaust to exit the front letting your prop spin faster on take off.

Some lazer props have them,depends....good point though. If you do have the vent caps you don't have to buy new ones you can just drill them out. Start off small and increase the size untill it performs better.
