Went a few years back. Jackson Hole is EXPENSIVE

, recommend staying in Montana if you can. Yellowstone is cool to visit at least one or two days. The tourists are ridiculous though. You don't need much of a camera to take some awesome pics, most the animals are right up on you. Grand Tetons have much less tourists and the scenery is superb. You can fish any of those rivers and catch plenty of fish. The Gallatin (sp.?) River is really cool and full of fish, its where A River Runs Thru it was filmed. Wife and I fished it and I caught a ton of rainbows on dry flies, but they were small. Dug up some nightcrawlers and tied a little weight on my wifes flyrod and she caught some huge cutthroats and rainbows.
You can just drive all day and have a blast. Right at dusk there are tons of alfalfa fields and the mule deer, whitetails and elk will be out there in the HUNDREDS - its crazy! Don't spend too much time looking at tourist traps like Old Faithful and that stuff, and if you have time get on up to Glacier National Park, its incredible. Plenty of stuff to do up there, definitely go rafting one day, its a blast, horseback riding if you are into that, if you fish, you don't need a guide - the fish are fairly easy to catch. Man, now I wanna go back
