Default Big Lake 07/07/11

Went to Big Lake caught 20 flounders, 3 reds, and 3 trout. Got boarded by the coast guard.

Had a great trip. Yeah as far as the coast guard goes they stopped us as we were going down the SC and they stopped us and checked all our paperwork and gear. They were cool hooked us up with a whistle and sent us on out way.

Yea....about a year ago, there was a topic on Coast Guard vs. LDWF boating regulations.

The regulations on each web site are a little differnet.

Requiring a whistle is one regulation that is different.

I put one in my boat....just in case.

I was issued my warning from LDWF. Written warning at that.

Yeah these guys were cool about everything. Of course I saw them switch on their lights so I told Flatfishfreak to pull over to them. Give respect and as long as you r legal usually get respect.
