If battery died completely it needs a shock charge. after you get it charged there is an update that stops that from happening

+1, only thing i can think of . i had a problem with mine's not being able to charge past 70%...come to find out, a year later, my micro usb plug/pins got messed up..be careful with that also...
if its not rooted , modded, hacked, take it back to sprint and get a replacement, better yet, if you are under the 30 day return, take it back for the evo3d!! im trying to put my evo on boost mobile...same network, same unlimited, 50 bucks a month and no contract..booyagasha...(minus 4g....)
