i worked and lived on a crew boat for 3 weeks, servicing an unmanned rig about 80+ miles offshore of cameron. never did get sea sick, until about the 4th day. (keep in mind this is living, eating, and sleeping in 4-6 ft seas-which were the norm ) occasionally we had to go in because of the seas had reached 8-10ft(the swells were touching the handrails on the boat bumper of the rig( where you swing rope over) Half my crew always were sea sick, this half would work on the rig all day and soon as they get on the boat, eat, shower , sleep.(dramamime) It must have been torture for them, the other half of the crew simply fished for snappers , groupers, and sharks the whole time.

I find the worst time for me was at night. Sleeping in 6-8 foot seas ain't no fun, and don't even try sleeping on your side..

sprite also helps settle the stomache, i find if you get jacked up on coffee, it numbs your equilibrium somewhat...lol ...make that caffeinne and niccotine.
