Yes but you have to run on the west or east side of the reef or you will be in very shallow water....it is a huge reef. Kinda hard to explain without showing you on a map. It is easier to stay out of trouble if you launch at burns point and fish the east side of the reef.You can go the long way around around the island from the point,or through the island via bird island bayou to oyster lake then into oyster bayou into the gulf. On calm days I like to fish shell keys then go to nickle reef south of the keys.
