Default 7.23.11 Trinity Bay

Met up with Shawn from Tidal Surge yesterday who invited me out to show me around Trinity Bay and to test their new Maniac Mullets. We had a great time catching everything under the sun, but due to a strong SW wind the trout never really turned on. Had slicks popping everywhere and large schools of shad but most of the commotion was due to ladyfish.

I was highly impressed with the Maniac Mullets, which work pretty much like throwing a normal tail but present a larger profile and a slower presentation. Look for these new baits soon…

My guess is around 1/4oz or 3/8oz. Really fishes just like a jig head but a bit slower.

This model is a "fast sinker" but like I said, it fishes a bit slower than a tail. The slow sinker should be available this fall.

That is exactly right. Work it just like a Jig but a little slower. The first one to come out will be the Fast Sink Model and sometime this fall we will come out wit a slow sink model.

Had a great time fishing with mikedatiger wish the weather would have been a little better.

There are no fish in Trinity. The lures look good. What colors will be available?

Have to ask Tidal Surge. Here is a pic of the pink and another of the glow. The pink is awesome.

Caught fish on both of these baits this weekend. Micah and Shawn are correct, you work them like a jighead, however they have a slower fall than a jig, but faster than a corkey devil. And by the way fish EAT IT!!!

Tbox and LCT will have them. The current models are prototypes so they are not on store shelves yet...

I may have limited quantities at the SC Tourney as well.

You are all right. The ones out there now are all prototypes. The response we have recieved has been great. Everyone who has thrown them loves it. We are waiting on a few parts to get here this week and will start producing this weekend. We will start out with colors very similar to the Crazy Croaker and go from there. Please remember we are a small two man operation. So we are working on them as fast as we can.
Thanks
Shawn Hebert

It seems that way sometimes when the SW wind blows.
