Not bad! heres a couple Turkey guns I did, I post that I used Styx rivers but I think it was actually the reelfoot stencils.
Either stencil is good, have done guns, box stands & Mini trucks with them. http://www.saltycajun.com/forum/show...cil#post180248 |

I used some plants out of the wifes flower bed to get the different patterns. The only thing I don't like about not haveing the stincel is there is no actual leaves or grass, just shadeing. wtretrievers, how is the paint holding up? Looks like you used a sealer, I was thinking about putting a sealer, I think it might help it last a little longer.

No sealer used, holding up pretty well considering handling & use these guns get, shading with the stencils is easy, put a base coat of grey, tan or what ever you want, hint.....if you use say grey, get 2 different name brands of grey, one will be darker, spray 6" with one then 6" with the other, it will be light than dark & so on, the use a flat black make a swipe here & there & woo la you have shading, then add your sticks, leaves etc.
Wipe gun down with rubbing alcohol or a contact cleaner 1st. |

I think the tan color needs to be darker. You could see that gun in a blind a mile away, good pattern though.

nice job, i'd work with different color paints. Like Jeff said, try a darker undercoat so it dont stand out as much. That gun would be awesome in Iraq in the sand.
