When you leave Hebert's Landing, head west to While Lake. When you hit the lake, head southwest. The rocks run almost the whole lenth of the south bank of the lake. When fishing the rocks, pay special attention where there is a break in the rocks. That is, where there is an opening such as a canal or opening in the marsh. Fish will hang around these spots. Be careful though because the base of the rocks come out several feet and you will hang up if fishing on bottom or casting to the rocks. I have lost more than a few rattle traps to the rocks. good luck.

Are there areas that are better or just pretty much fish open places in rocks? How is water depth?

Hooper. Went to White lake July 23rd and caught 7 reds. 3 on gold spinner with glow, green tail grub. 2 on white bandit crankbaits and 1 on a gulp shrimp under a cork. The gaspergoo were fun- got about 20 of them. All came on the rocks. We did better in the cleaner water for sure so you might want to look around some for good clarity. Good luck. I only fished the southeast rocks.
