Default V./B. water report

My job got rained out from yesterdays rain,so My son and I headed out to the pass this afternoon. I knew as soon as I saw the whitecaps in the cove it wasnt going to be pleasant on the outside(where the reefs are). Headed through the pass, and it looked like poo.Hit a couple of reefs, the water was only slightly better there, but was too windy to really fish. Winds were about 15 mph. and 2' with occasional 3' swells. Anchored off and got a few bites, but that was about it. Hung a nice red around the island. Didnt stay real long, didnt feel like fighting it if it wasnt going to happen. Im sure someone will hammer em tomorrow. Thats usually how it is in the v./b.

not a problem bro. there is always next time. Ive had more days like that in vb. than any place else though. If you hafta fish on the outside, there is no protection from the wind unless its coming from the north. And most of the reefs are to shallow just to drift over em.

Smokin VB

TO DINK!!!

Earlier in the summer WEEKS BAY WAS ON FIRE WITH LARGE TROUT!! BEFORE ALL THE RAIN THE LAST COUPLE WEEKS.

Sunday for example as I was crossing the bay from ICY to go to the Reefs. The water was great along the old well heads just off the channel. If I would have stopped I know they are holding NICE trout.

All those wells have shell pads on them from being drilled with an inland barge. Some have lost there concrete walkways creating more underwater structure.

This area is a DIFFERENT TYPE OF FISHING THEN BL!!! THATS WHAT SEPARATES THE PEOPLE WHO FISH AND THE ONES WHO CATCH FISH!

Thanks

Biggun
