Gettin' a couple 45-70's

45-70 with the Hornady bullets with the conical tip make that gun an accurate 200 yd gun. Never shot a .444 but 45-70 doesn't have much kick. And if you are ever in BFE and happen to run out of bullets, there is a better chance the mom and pop store carries 45-70 rather than .444.

Yep....If I ever put the smoke pole down I will go with the 45-70. Hard to spend the bones on something I might use twice a season.
