Default Texaco Cut Beware!!

Just got a call from a buddy that went through Texaco cut Monday and had their motor ripped of the transom on a brand new bay boat, they trolled over to see what they hit and their is or was the dredging piping across the canal on the channel side. They called wild life and fisheries and the sheriffs dept, they said that they had gotten four previous calls for the same thing, folks hitting the dredge piping, nothing was marked! Lucky anyone wasn't killed or seriously hurt. Don't know if this is still the case but as of monday it was.

Thanks for the info. I run through there often. That would make for an expensive fishing trip.

Man I never like going through there. I don't do it often. If you don't stay right in the middle, you're screwed.

I hit it once too. Posted pics on here.
LDWF hit it going 40 mph. If they can't get anything done, don't know who can.
I saw it just in time to throw her in reverse, then the motor died.
I was going just fast enough to go over it but not bust anything.
There was 2 small signs, facing the opposite direction that I was going.
Not enough, in my opinion.

I saw the pipe blowing water up Friday, while we fished near the cut, but where is the dredge at? Glad I didn't hit anything with mine; brand new motor.
