Well according to my uncle, who is the marine biologist in charge of specks for ldwf, if the really big trout are released they don't have a good chance of survival. Not that that matters to me cause i dont catch many big ones in v. bay. I don't keep any reds over 33" or so cause they taste to strong. Those are the ones that spawn anyway so its good to throw them back i think
