Hey W.....did I give you any of 1 oz jig heads that I made a while back? I also got some big weights for that current.
A friend said that he was going to get me a mold to make some 10 or 12 oz weights for him...... for when that current is ripping. |

Tide was ripping yesterday but I anchored up-current and used 2- 1/2oz split shots and managed. The currrent was moving though, and the trout were not on the bottom. But they were stacked up.

Mike I had about 3/4 oz of weights and it was skipping the top. I have never seen that much current. Yes we where on the upside.

Nice fish guys, that tide was ripping when we tried to go offshore yesterday as well...the end of the jetties was rough and a big crew boat gunned the throttle right by us,it got a little hairy. I must say that longcast's 1810 nautic star is probably the best riding 18' bay boat i've ever rode in,and i've rode in alot.

Hey Cap'nD, those big rippin tides should move the lake a bunch and help re-activate it don't you think? On the live bait issue, a good fisherman adapts to what is working. So for those who don't use ive never, you are missing out on some fish when that is all they want. Hell, we would all rather not have to use it but there are times when it is what they want.
