Hey guys, I enjoy fishing out of the boat, just like everyone on SaltyCajun. I also enjoy getting in the water with them. There is a time and place for it all. You ever try to work birds while wading. It will get you in shape or kill you !!!

You do have a greater chance at better numbers out of your boat. Jeremy is dead on about that. An angler can also catch a big trout out of a boat.

But there is just something I like about walking on the lake floor, discovering a oyster hump or a slightly deeper gut or drop off that will hold a big trout on a later date. I also recognize if its mud or sand bottom. The colder water, the softer the bottom is required, to down right muddy bog, if its freezing. The mud is killing me ! Our big one of today. Tagged and released. She is a true toad !!!
Man I can not wait til morning...

One thing I can tell you about wading ..... its not easy walking if you hit muddy spots, your feet cramp up, if you fall your wet and waders are full, you better have patince, remember someone has to walk back for the boat, so don't fish a mile and then look back at the boat...(that sucks)....if you don't know where the fish are you could waist a lot of time walking and looking....
