Dance 12/23 Prien Quality

The day did not start off with a bang. CHecked three of my spots that are usually holding and nadda. Bait after bait. Decided to get brave and try another spot which was a cold trip. Booom we found em. 930 to 1030 hauled in 23 troutwith several throwbacks. A couple really nice ones with the biggest going a smidge under 4 lb. Birds were all over the lake today but scattered and not picking too well. I am a sparkle beetle, jerk jr fan sooo I hate to say it but....... it was a GULPTASTIC day. lol. wouldnt touch anything else. go figure.

We were out there too. Only fished between 9am and 11. That wind became brutal. The first hour we didn"t even get a bite. then we switched to a pearl Gulp swimming mullet and second cast caught a nice speck. So it seems they really wanted pearl Gulp's. Ended up with 8 specks a red and a flounder all on one long drift across the lake.

Thanks for sharing, I've been picking up a few on my DOA but will have to try the gulp. Caught and released a nice trout on a mirrodine last week. The water is sooo clear. Been using 10# line, that seems to help. Just have to retie after every third or so fish. Prien is such an easy trip.
