Here is another site, needs more updates but provides some pics....should be completed soon though. I helped work on the Boat Launch portion for my marketing class last semester. Very exciting stuff going on over there. |

Don't have to go that far when the water is right.

That would be 30 mins from my house. What can you catch in all those cuts between delcambre and the intracoastal? Reds in there?

Redfish and catfish....I know a few spots that hold trout too. Water usually stays pretty salty.

Any of you guys try docking at the port of Iberia? Pretty short run to the bay from there.

no wake
it isn't bad except for the long no wake zone through the whole commercial canal, from the boat ramp to the wood line is no wake, i think it is mainly for the big boats, cause i have ran through it before with the wardens in the canal and they just checked my almost empty icechest, but you have to be weary of the guys working on the water on the small boats or barges, working under and around the big boats, you can get some one in a serious bind if you go through there and not slow down where they are working

Don't launch there if you have a nice truck. Launched there once and got back to white overspray all over the drivers side.

I travel there a lot so I guess I'm used to the no wake zone and I've been very lucky to never get any over spray on my truck but have heard of it happening to many people. It's close to my house and my camp, main reason I dock there.
