Most of rockefeller is closed until march 1, but you can stay in the main canal

from what i read its open just not the road everyone uses to go crabbing. i am calling in the morning to check. i hear u can put in at rollover and get to all the weirs. just word of mouth now as again i will check in the morning.

Podna of mine has been catching limits of reds in the deep lake canals. Bring a push pole,the mouths of some of the canals are silted in.

Bertrand, and the canal to LSU weirs should be closed...a good spot to go to is to the end of Headquarters canal when the tide is right, you can get on them...the east end launch at Josephs Harbor should be closed also...So only the most western part of the refuge is open this part of the year, you will see the signs at the entrance of the canal if it is closed.

looked good to me today from rollover
did not do much exploring but saw a few who caught.
was loaded for shrimp so no fish.
got to gulf no problem

reports today "sat." just crabs no one had fish..

I know east end of joseph's harbor word of mouth is they are putting in some new weirs somewhere
