Tried to get into lake merchant but kept running up on flats getting through Racoucci. Any help with that would be appreciated.. Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk |

There isn't many poles left but once you figure it out its not hard. Best thing to do is follow someone thru and mark it on your gps. And even when you know the route you usually have to hook it up, trim up, and run hard thru that area. Dularge can be a nightmare in the winter time cause its gets low.

Going tomorrow with my uncle and brother for a late Bday present. They had a good bit of poles last time we crossed it in June-August in Raccourci. But I guess they're MIA. We try not to cross it though but if we're fishless and desperate gotta do what ya gotta do.
Nice catch BTW |

Crossing Raccourci
I agree with finger mullet. Take off at the end of the bayou where there is an old dock and veer a lil left towards that little island. The orange cone sticking up is nailed onto a piling that would ruin a day of fishing.Keep the orange cone about 10-20 yds to your right and then there are white pvc poles abput every 50-100 yds apart. Keep em on your right again bout 10-20 yds and you'll be ok. After about 4-5 poles there is another small island almost directly ahead (if you're on the right course) take a slight right and then you'll be lined up with the mouth of Bayou Raccourci which you have to make a left turn into. Water depth is only about 2 ft through the bay so you have to stay on top.
