You asked about a car style cover. How much does that puppy chew? My uncles one didn't last long because of the dog getting at it. My dad had one also and the wind tore it up in less than a year, but then again they are only $300 or so. Alot cheaper than a permanent cover.

Pup will be in a kennel when he goes outside, the wind damage you speak of is what i was curious about

Dad's tore around the corners, top and bottom ended up tearing. But it is relatively cheap. Pain in the aZZ to put off and on. You don't want to do it often.

The camper has never been hauled except from the dealer to my brothers lease and then to my lease. 30' Long and the Canopy is 28' Long which is the longest I have seen. It is a bumper pull not a fifth wheel. Big slide out. Not sure how much its worth. PM me if you are interested.EC
If the price is right and the wife approves then im interested lol, got any pics?

We like our pop-up camper but it has no bathroom. Beats a tent, but not nearly as nice as the big campers these guys are talking about. Might be good to rent one and see how it goes. Where are you planning to camp? My wife and I camped back and forth to California last summer in a tent. Great fun, but we were kid-less. Kiddos complicate the camping scene. Enjoy.

$10,000 camper
$54,000 new 3/4 ton truck
$64,000 to do it right
Explain the total to wifey and see how it flys.
Don't let anyone tell you they pull 30' campers with 1/2 tons......safely that is.

54k for a 3/4 ton? Does that come wit 26's cause that seems cheap! Been looking at 4-7,000 pound 29' and less models. Mr. Gott im tryin to convince my wife into using a friend of hers camper for a few times, but im not sure if my 1/2 ton can pull theirs.

I know that feeling, i am 6'2" and have never seen one I didn't have to 'crouch down' to shower in. I have owned and sold 3 campers and found flaws in all of them. My next one will be a 20' Wells Cargo that I will insulate myself, full size shower, self contained toilet and 3 or 4 of those inflateable beds. I don't need all the fancy kitchen stuff and cabinets because we do all cooking outside under a canopy plus I can haul either my 16' bateau or all of our 4-wheelers depending on if it's hunting season, fishing season or I just want to move some furniture for someone..

Premature brake, transmission, axle, and engine failure is on the horizon.
1/2 tons were/are not designed to pull anything other than light loads no matter what any salesman tells you. Just not enough azz on them.
