Just don't wander off in any canals branching off it.

I've had more luck by Gary's. I have made some nice hauls on the bell city on lines down by the spillway, but Gary's area seemed to produce more consistent fish. Ive had lines all down the bell city ditch before and it seems like you catch more mud cat the farther north you are so I would always run to where those culverts stick out the east bank by those power lines just north of the refuge

I'll be at Myers this weekend running jugs and finishing the last weekend of speck season

Bell City Drain ditch. Runs all the way to the intracoastal. Catch freshwater fish in there. You can fit any size boat in der except for maybe a crew boat.

Bell city drainage ditch. It runs from bell city and hits the intracoastal. Big boat can get in there. It's wide and pretty deep. But there ain't no fish in it. We've thrown jugs several times in there and ain't had a nibble. Now they got some white perch in there if you hit em right. I wouldn't recommend jugging or catfishin in the drain ditch. That's just from my own experiences. Now lake misere and the intracoastal has produced some nice catfish numbers if you hit it on a good day.

Was the water still coming from the cut on the east side of the canal?
